Since 2017, the Les Parfums Matières collection by KARL LAGERFELD created a close link between fashion and perfumery.

New for 2023, the Parfums Matières collection by KARL LAGERFELD now welcomes the Fleur de Pivoine & Bois de Cyprès duo: a bespoke blend of subtly contrasting floral freshness for her, and a stylised aromatic fougere for him.

Subtle, delicate peony

This fruity floral eau de parfum, designed by perfumer Emilie Coppermann, immediately evokes a subtle elegance. The top notes of mandarin and redcurrant blend with green notes to distil their freshness, introducing the luminous femininity of a bouquet of white flowers combining jasmine, peony and lily of the valley

Warmed by a trio of soft woods (white cedarwood, whipped-cream musk and amber), Fleur de Pivoine indelibly stamps its sweetness onto the skin.

Bois de Cyprès, a masculine classic reinvented

Perfumer Alexandra Carlin revisits this iconic accord in men’s perfumery, adding an original touch of aromatic fern. The invigorating vivaciousness of the trio of top notes – frosted cardamom, Madagascan mandarin and lemon – lead into the composition’s star note: cypress, studded with lavender and aquatic mint. In the base notes, clary sage absolute, cashmere wood and vetiver wrap the composition in a powerful, enveloping trail.

Once again, and in line with Karl Lagerfeld’s Parfums Matières collection, materials are sublimated to transform the iconic ingredients of perfumery into unique fragrances.
